Every Friday Morning – Coffee Morning – Drop In Lounge, Bickerstaffe St
Time: 9am – 12 Midday
April 18th – 5th July - Art Competition
As from 18th April a letter will be sent to all Art Coordinators at St Helens Primary Schools and Special Schools. This competition is endorsed by Cath Shea Principal Arts Officer, St Helens Council and Paul Cousins – Cultural Ambassador for St Helens and Artist. The competition will be presented as a summer wind down activity, particular for those children who will be sitting their SATS this Summer Term. Entry £1.00 per child. Children will be asked to design a piece of artwork onto a piece of A2 paper. The competition is an open competition; children will be able to design a drawing of their choice, using a medium of their choice. 5 winning entries will be chosen from the designs submitted and the winning designs will be placed in permanent situe around various areas of the Millennium Centre. Each of our 5 winners will receive a prize. (Prize to be decided upon).
Tuesday 20th April – Health & Beauty Day – Drop In Lounge – Treatment Room
Time: 10am – 6pm
There will be a range of treatments available. The following treatments will be available:
Indian Head Massage / Neck & Shoulder Massage – with Hot Stone Therapy
Express Facial / Hand & Arm Massage
Hand & Nail Conditioning / Eyebrow Shape
All treatments will be performed by professional staff from Re Nu who are based at The Lavender Farm in Rainford.
Please contact Ruth Rushworth 07738 93 53 48 to book a treatment / time. Treatments will be charged at a reduced price with all proceeds going directly back to the charity.
Friday 4th June – 60s & 70s Theme Night – Eccleston Social Club
Need Raffle Prizes for this Event
Details for this event are to be finalised. Ticket price will include food. Fancy Dress Optional. This event will feature a number of live bands.
Saturday 3rd July – Bag Pack Event – Morrisons Supermarket, Baxters Lane, Parr
Saturday 21st August – Dragon Boat Race, The Boat House, Carr Mill Dam
The Dragon Boat race is held once a year at Carr Mill Dam. The boat race is attended by may local business and charities. Many individuals view this event as a means of raising funds and also developing team building skills amongst their staff members. There are between 1500 – 2000 people who attend this event. There are up to 30 boats that take part in this race. Each boat can hold 20 people + 1 drummer (to keep the time) . We are currently looking for individuals who would like to participate in this sponsored event. Each entrant would have to pay a £15.00 entry fee (includes insurance) and raise a minimum of £20.00 to recoup the initial costs of boat hire and participation. Throughout the day The Boat House will be open for refreshments, there will be a number of stalls located around part of the dam (We hope to set up the Marquee- to raise extra funds).
